Jared Chontow Announces Global Publication of Fantasy Novel 'The Heroes Are Dead: Crimson Spear'
The novel follows Bjorn Erikson, once known as the Crimson Reaper, who now lives quietly as a city guardsman. His quiet retirement ends when an aging king asks him to take on a dangerous mission. Armed with the legendary Crimson Spear, Bjorn must travel through enemy territory and confront the forces threatening humanity.
The Crimson Spear is forged from a mysterious Crimson ore and has the ability to negate magic. Along the way, Bjorn is joined by an imprisoned necromancer, creating an unlikely partnership as they face dangerous creatures, enemy forces, and challenges throughout their journey.
Chontow's story brings together action, adventure, fantasy, and themes of redemption and sacrifice. Rather than placing its focus only on powerful heroes, the novel follows a warrior who must rely on his own experience and the companions he encounters along the way.
“The goal has always been to create stories that entertain, spark the imagination, and give readers an escape into unforgettable worlds,” said Jared Chontow. “I hope readers finish my books with the same excitement and enjoyment I felt while writing them.”
Born in New Jersey in the mid-1990s, Chontow began writing stories during childhood. What started as a hobby gradually became a lifelong passion. With encouragement from family, friends, and readers online, he decided to publish his first novel.
Today, Chontow continues to develop stories built around memorable characters, fantasy settings, and epic adventures. The Heroes Are Dead: Crimson Spear is being published on many platforms globally, making the novel available to readers in different markets.
The book is intended for readers who enjoy fantasy fiction with action, adventure, magic, monsters, warriors, and unlikely companions.
