Flagship Feature “Reskyu” and Groundbreaking Drama Series “Una Sa Lahat” Clinch Major Honors on the Global Stage

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- CEBSI Films delivered a commanding performance at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2026, capturing high honors across multiple competitive categories for its full-length feature Reskyu and limited drama series Una Sa Lahat. The victories cap a banner showcase for the production outfit in New York City, reinforcing its expanding footprint in international cinema and television storytelling.
Its a back-to-back win of Nestor Malgapo Jr. For Best Director. He won Best Director last year for 'Haligi' (Pillar).

“This global recognition in Manhattan is a testament to the dedication, passion, and artistic vision of our entire cast, crew, and creative partners,” said CEBSI Films Director Nestor Malgapo Jr. “To be embraced on an international platform like IFFM validates our commitment to producing impactful stories that resonate across cultural boundaries. We share this victory with our community, our supporters worldwide, and offer all glory to God.”

According to Christian Gumabon, CEBSI Films Producer, "When films that champion selfless service and spiritual integrity make noise internationally, it shatters the assumption that global audiences only care for cynicism and grit.

"Reskyu" honors the men and women who wake up in the middle of the night to save lives without asking for a paycheck or applause. Putting that ethos on the world stage redefines what Filipino cinema can offer the global culture: a reminder that love and sacrifice are still the most radical forces on earth."

The high-stakes feature Reskyu dominated the festival’s top-tier feature awards, earning critical acclaim and festival-goer praise alike:
